NEWS: LEWIS HAMILTON WINS F1 GERMAN GRAND PRIX!

Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for winning the F1 German Grand Prix! This win puts Hamilton 3rd in points just a few points behind Mark Webber who is currently in 2nd. Hamilton was in control of this one from the start, and even when he lost the lead to Webber on the 12th lap he immediately grabbed it back, and later retook it after losing it again during the first pit stops. The upgraded MP4-26 had pace and reliability, and from the 33rd lap onwards his triumph was never in doubt. It was a remarkable comeback by McLaren after the debacle of Silverstone. Button, meanwhile, lost out with excessive wheel spin at the start, lost ground behind Schumacher, Petrov and Sutil, and had to retire from sixth place with power steering gremlins. FORMULA DRIFT “ULTIMATE DRIFT” AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

A few Formula Drift drivers made it out to Texas Motor Speedway for “Ultimate Drift” including Tony Brakohiapa, Michael Essa, Jeff Abbott and Joon Maeng. The event was part of the Firestone Twin 275s Pre-Race Show. Though it was a non-championship point competition, it was still fun to watch and a great way to introduce the drift experience to new fans! The crowd was excited and responded with a loud roar after each run! Not surprisingly, half of the cars were on Enkei Wheels. Including Jeff Abbott’s drift Miata on Enkei PF01’s! It was my first time to see the car with PF01’s in person… I still don’t understand how Jeff Abbott (almost 6′ and 235 lbs) fits in that little car. Check out the photos and videos! – AlexPhotos and Video –> Jeff AbbottJoon MaengMichael EssaTony BMost of the drivers are from the Los Angeles area so they’re not accustom to the Texas heat so they struggled to keep cool and hydrated. Luckily most of the drivers are good friends so Michael Essa offered his trailer to escape the sun. Aasbo and Abbott ready for battle. Joon Maeng and Tony B ready for battle. Tony’s Mustang caught fire during practice the day before due to a loose gas line so we were all surprised to see him back for the main event.Michael Essa’s BMW Z4 on Enkei NT03+M Racing Series...

Godzilla’s Maiden Voyage: Redline Time Attack at Auto Club Speedway. (Enkei NT03+M)

Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA is most well known for hosting the NASCAR series but recently played home for Redline Track Event’s Round 3 of their Pro Track Challenge, Pro Time Attack, Moto IQ Pacific Tuner Car Championship, and Lotus Cup USA on May 28th & 29th. I solely compete in Redlines Pro Time Attack because for me it is the best TA series to run in. I am located in Southern California, and I am a self funded privateer. Redline Track Events is cheaper than it was in previous years and now runs all of their events on the West Coast, so for me it is the best bang for the buck, as well as any other TA or wheel to wheel drivers/teams who seek a series with a good amount media coverage. Round 3. This was to be my first event competing with my R32 GT-R. Almost 4 years ago I competed with my Mitsubishi Evo IX (might I add I was also running my favorite racing wheel the NTO3+M) this was the last time I did any competitive driving. You can probably guess how nervous and excited I was for this day to come to fruition. Months leading up to that weekend Cobb Tuning SoCal and I were slowly putting together the pieces that would be an unfinished puzzle, just getting enough fragments together(within budget) to have a good idea of the finished picture. While the weeks wound down to final days and we were losing time, some things had to be left out but they wouldn’t be detrimental to make the weekend happen without issue. Or so we thought. During the last couple...
